Why do I go on an on about community and how much it means to me?

Whether it’s over diapers or screaming kids or the frustrated glory of parenthood.

Whether it’s over finding myself in the lost corridors of motherhood or connecting with you about how we work hard at liking our kids and not just loving them.

Whether it’s celebrating the ordinary and remembering to write our joys as well as our diaper-genie-outside-the-front-door-days.

I go on and on about community, because I know that we were created for community. I feel it in my bones. And oh what I wouldn’t give to be able to talk motherhood, marriage and life lived in the in between with you in person.

What if we could?

On April 27 & 28 2012, (in)courage is bringing a conference to you. A conference all about connecting women locally and in real life.

I’ve rambled on and on about it over here – you know what I’m talking about, right? It’s called (in)RL {short for (in) real life} and it’s the most exciting thing I’ve been a part of since I started the wonderful job of helping manage (in)courage.

Here’s the invitation part: I’m helping host an (in)RL Meetup in the Northern Virginia area on Saturday April 28th and please, oh if you’re local I’d so love if you’d come!

Registration is only $10, which includes an (in)RL t-shirt and free pack of greeting cards. You can go here to register and then click right here to RSVP for our meetup. Grab a friend and join us – it’ll be a morning of friendship, fellowship, and good food. If you’re local, you’re welcome just as you are.

I would so love to meet you and thank you for being part of our community.
