This is Gussy.

She is great.

Gussy has a lot to say.

Every minute you doubt yourself is a minute wasted that you can’t ever get back.

And Gussy has a lot to sew.

Gussy is my kind of girl.

She works a full time day job and at night is working on making her dream job come true.

In November 2008, Gussy decided she wanted to learn to sew. So she surrounded herself with piles of library books, borrowed her parent’s sewing machine, and with the help of online tutorials taught herself from scratch.

Learning to sew has been an incredible transformation. I had zero-experience when I started {is that OK to admit out loud?!}, but I had a determined spirit and a big heart for the trade.

Seriously, doesn’t that just make you want to hug her?

I so enjoyed her story I asked her if I could share it with you guys. She said yes. And then she sent me this.

Swoon! I love everything about my new Gussy wallet.
