What if Judas had been the hero of the story?
What if Jesus’ courage and obedience had failed him?
What if Father God had refused to give up his son?
What if we had been left to fend for ourselves?
OK, your turn. Click here to come and join me over at (In) Courage today as I talk about this. This and a tribe of headhunting cannibals.
What if no one told me about the Easter story?
Indeed!! Thanks for the reminder, Kathy. And if you pop over to the (In) Courage link with me you will see I am writing about a tribe and the missionaries who went to tell them the Easter story.
Beautifully written – what an incredible way to capture our great God’s sacrifice and love offering. Thank you for this!
Thanks – the Easter story moves me in such different ways now that I am a parent – and I think this image of Father and son – running to offer peace – just captures it so profoundly for me.
That was amazing to read. Thank you for sharing… what a wonderful and merciful God we serve.
Thank you – Easter is such a remarkable season, I often find lost for words to describe how it makes me feel. The picture of a desperate father and a lonely child offered up – wow, that captures it for me in real time. So thanks for sharing it with me.
Wow. That is an amazing perspective. Thank you Lisa Jo perfect timing.

this is SUCH an amazing story… loved that “God dived” towards earth…. such a captivating picture of who God is and what He did to reach us…
I know, right? I can just picture it so clearly – the courage it took on both their parts. I think as a parent now I feel it so much more profoundly – what it might have been like from the Father’s perspective! Chills.
I have been a bad blog commenter here lately, but I absolutely LOVED this post, Lisa-Jo! Absolutely incredible, the parallels.
Are you kidding me? You are a super duper gold star blog commenter despite battling morning sickness and other such joys. You rock the blog comments. Seriously. This is a guilt free comment zone ;) (but thanks, really.)
