Ahhhh I completely understand the whir of life passing by in nanoseconds with thousands of things making up a single day!! I am sitting in the quiet, my grandson and daughter have long gone to bed and I am reflecting on the day and the years that have gone by since my grandson got here over five years ago….Enjoy your peace and quiet without having any of those “I wonder what they are doing in the bathroom for so long”moments…..ha the last time I had one of those “I wonder what they are doing moments” for my grandson and granddaughter I never saw my cupcake tins again…I still don’t know where they are…..perhaps my quiet moment should be spent searching the house!! :) God Bless and Have a Beautiful Day!!
I totally get that, Lisa-Jo. I started a new job last week, and I just realized that I haven’t written my blog in almost that long. That never happens! I guess we just have to take it easy on ourselves sometimes and trust that God will take care of it all.
I so agree! One year I actually went on strike so I could have a little break and teach the children to help one another more and to follow through with their assignments.
Thanks for the thoughts!
So glad that you are getting some quiet time. As a new empty nester I am looking forward to my daughter coming home from college for the long weekend and putting some noise back in my life. So remember to enjoy the chaos as much as you enjoy the rest and quiet. We need both in our lives.
Sometimes? I need a time out every day! I’m glad you’re taking some time to rest and reflect. Loved this post and the 5 minutes one for the week. So sweet a picture of home and how we can rest in the middle of a kitchen full of dirty dishes :).

Enjoy your quiet time Lisa-Jo. Be still and KNOW that He is God. :)

Yeah, things are blur ’round here too…
Good for you for taking time off the whirling merry-go-around of a busy life to take a breath… Enjoy!
Wow! How did you get a picture of my life, lately? Thanks for sharing!
