I have to show this to John – he will love it! This time last week – we were on the safari thing in Kenya :) Sigh. made me think of what might have happened if we threw a soccer ball out onto the savannah :)
I just turned a bright shade of green after reading this!! My family are soo excited – I keep getting reports about how incredible the national team spirit is – every Friday the entire country wear’s the soccer team’s colors. It is going to be just amazing I think!
What a fun video! Have you seen the Nike ad with Drogba, Rooney, Ronaldo and a few others? It’s fast and spectacular!
I so wish I could be in South Africa for the games. Well, after visiting once, I always wish I could be there. The good news is I’ll be with a group of internationally minded football fans—so I’ll get a good filling of World Cup while in upstate New York.
Kristin,
What a marvelous soccer match! Only in Africa. I love your web site. Lovely to see you enjoying every moment of your twin boys. Lovely writing. It brings back those cherished memories of my two when they were young.

What a fun video! Makes me wonder how it was done :)
It’s a pity you can’t be here for it

This is my favorite clip so far! And I’ve seen a few! :)
The Germans are gearing up. We’re actually going to be in the US for part of it (little bro wedding) and my husband is quite disgruntled that my brother planned his wedding not only during the WM, but on a day where Germany could potentially play!! Not sure how we are going to handle that one yet. :)

That was cool! My hubby would appreciate this!
Boy, do I ever. My husband leaves on June 8 to go. He is VERY EXCITED and has been planing this trip since he came home from the Germany world cup :).
He is also excited to see your home, South Africa. You can read his thoughts on this at his blog post- http://buzzardroostus.wordpress.com/2010/03/03/100-days-till-the-world-cup/
But there are more posts about the game itself.
I enjoy your blog…

Ooo, that’s a tricky one! How come America always seems so oblivious to these international landmark competitions?
Awesome!!! We are getting pumped down here! Argentina just arrived in Joburg today! :) I have high hopes of taking in a match!
