We did this last year.
We took a day. One day. And sat around together, slumped over sofas, feet up on the coffee table, comfortably folded into chairs, across futons, stretched out on the floor and just reveled in each other’s stories.
The stories that we wished more people had read. We ate them like so much rich chocolate and shared them around and said, “Here, try this one – the center is soft and nougaty or sweet and unexpected or dark, dark bittersweet all the way through.”
What is the one post from this year that you wish more people had read?
Link it up below. Let’s share them. Let’s revel in them. Let’s read them.
I think you and your words are mighty fine and worth splurging on. Let’s tuck in and savor every scrumptious one. And be sure and share how good they were. Link up your favorite favorite, and then go back and read the one before you. Read, savor, and then leave a comment telling the author what it meant to you. Share what you loved, how it spoke to you, the words that were the richest.
And before you know it, we will have eaten up every last post that should never have been overlooked to begin with.
You are, each one of you, more unique by far than the best confections the world has to offer.
You are created.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14.
You are chosen.
The Lord has chosen you to be His treasured possession. Deuteronomy 14:2.
You are celebrated.
He will take great delight in you…He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17.
You are cherished.
I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. Jeremiah 31:3.
And I’d like to give one of you who links up and reads someone else’s post this beautiful reminder from DaySpring of God’s Heart for You.
Take one week and savor the words of your sisters. I’m going to try and read every single post that’s shared. And on Friday we’ll feel full and appreciated and perhaps that littlest bit less foolish and alone.
I’ll go first….
I read your post first… beautiful. I commented ;) Then I read the one before mine — also great — and then I added my own link. Hope you enjoy it!?
thanks for this day after Christmas gift of encouragement.
I accidentally posted mine 4 times – it seemed the link was broken, but when I came back here, there were 4 copies in the list. might wanna delete 3 of them!
BLessings, dear one!
Oh, what a wonderful Boxing Day treat. Love sharing and enjoying good writing.

oh Lisa-Jo. Your post, the one you linked up…. that shouts to my heart, and you said the words I have been wrestling with for YEARS… Thank you….. I appreciate it SO much…. I will be re-reading it again and again, and taking my fears and pride again to Christ. Thank you, sweet friend. You bless me constantly.
I’m a brother not a sister…but this sounds like fun…so I hope you’ll let me join your circle today.
Lisa Jo ~
You always surprise and delight me! I didn’t know if I should pick the funny post no one read (it’s Fun Being a Christian) or the most poignant post I wish more people had read (I chose the latter). Thank you for establishing and maintaining this beautiful community.
Merry Christmas,
Felecia
What a great idea! Thanks, Lisa-Jo!
What a wonderful idea, thanks for allowing so many to share and encourage each other!
Wow, I just love this idea! I really do..there is just one post that I wrote way back that really means a lot to me and I believe really speaks to who I am…But I didn’t have very many followers when I wrote it and I always think about that and the lack of attention that it got at the time…:)) So thank you! Kim
What a beautiful gift to read these posts! Thank you for thinking of ways to connect not just people… but hearts.
So glad I stopped by your blog today, Lisa-Jo. The post you linked was beautiful, and I can’t tell you how much I needed to read your words and Jesus’ words about “success.” AND I finally checked into the in Real Life conference and the trailer gave me chills!!! I’ve been living in Germany with my husband and toddlers for 14 months now and still feel so lonely sometimes…encouragement from the online community has really helped me through some dark days, and it WOULD be so nice to meet these friends in real life. Can’t wait to see how we can make this happen when we are all so far apart!!!
What a fun idea. How fun to read everyone’s posts and how fun to go through all of my own and see how I’ve grown in the past year.
Loved that post of yours when you wrote it and today I loved it just as much! Just the reminder my heart needed.
Thanks for creating such a beautiful community here.
Love this idea! I shared a fiction piece I poured myself into that I feel got lost in the shuffle of Christmas. Off to go read several others!
Thank you for always being so encouraging to the writer within us all!
That post you shared is exactly the one I was hoping you would post.
My heart needed to read it again. thank you.
And I am loving the other posts I’m reading tonight as well!!!! what a joy this is…
What a wonderful idea. I am going to try to visit everyone as well!
Looking forward to reading….I added mine above.
This is a WONDERFUL idea!!!!! Thank you for putting this linky together. I am enjoying several posts and cannot wait to read more!
The post you wish more people had read, funny you chose that one. I actually have that particular post bookmarked on my computers at both home and work and have read and re-read it more time than I can count. It was a “speak to me” post, a very good reminder for me.
Thanks for the opportunity, Lisa-Jo. Your generosity, especially with your blog, has been such an encouragement to me this year. Have a great 2012!
This is one of my favorite things you do. :) So much treasure to be found, everywhere! <3
What an awesome idea!!! Love it, thanks!
This is so inspiring. Love your post about how to be successful and others were fun to read.
This is a marvelous idea. There are millions of blogs out there and it is so hard to find the gems. I am enjoying reading through the submissions, and even included one of my own.
Thank you so much for hosting!
Blessings
