It’s been thirty pounds, give or take, since we were last home in South Africa.
Thirty pounds, three and a half years, two mega care packages that took two months to arrive, countless Skype minutes, one World Cup, and a brand new baby girl.
Two weeks from today that will all change.
I can’t wait to take you with me.
you have no idea how excited i am to go. and NOT have to fly two days to get there ;)
I’m so glad you’re finally coming back to SA for a bit! Come visit if you pop down to Cape Town at all! Will bake you lovely rusks and have tea!
Cuz, am so super excited for you! I am planning to try to get back home in the next 2 months to do some fieldwork (hopefully the details all fall into place). What are your dates? If I indeed make it back home, be certain that I will track you and your family down for hugs aplenty and real life face time. oooooh – the thought of this excites me no end. Much love, :)
SO excited to see you all soon!!! xox

I’m a new reader and I have found a kindred spirit in your blog. I’ve been to SA 3 times on YWAM outreaches and it is truly my favorite place in the world (besides my home). So in all honesty, since it’s been about 5 years since I’ve been there, I do really wish I was coming with you : ( Love on my country for me!
i’m a new reader and a vicarious missions worker – my husband is with wycliffe and travels quite a bit. can’t wait to read and see through you!
I’m not joking when I tell you that I was just reading an article in a magazine about South Africa. I can’t wait to come along.

i know you will savor every moment! every moment of anticipation, and every moment that will fly by while you enjoy and attempt to make time slow. :-)
my parents are about to relocate back State-side and while i am ecstatic that we will be in the same timezone, i am grieving the trips back to Holland that we won’t make now…..
Can’t wait to journey vicariously to South Africa, seeing a different world through your eyes. Home-goings are powerful stuff!
Dying to go with you, and praying all the way! :)
Just got back from my first visit and absolutely fell in love with South Africa! Would live there if I could pack up my whole family and take them with me!!!
This will be exciting to read your blogs from South Africa. I am waiting in expectation. Never been there. I do get to travel to Poland this summer for 2 weeks on a mission trip.
Blessings,
Jan
