You guys, some days you’re sitting in Panera trying to pick out a new pair of leggings for your daughter online and scrolling through the fun updates about The Dress – when you get a message from a friend in South Africa.

And she shares a photo that was taken just a few hours ago in Maubane, South Africa on Friday, February 27, 2015.

That stops you in your tracks.

I can’t stop staring at this photo.

Why can’t I stop staring at this photo?

There have been water shortages in the small town of Maubane, South Africa that we all support.

And I can’t stop staring at this photo because families are lined up with containers and buckets and cups waiting for water at the ONE reliable water source in their community today. AND YOU GUYS HELPED MAKE THAT POSSIBLE!

Water shortages in Maubane mean the community is lined up at the water point you all helped build because it’s a rare reliable water source.

Families are lined up at the water point that you all helped build.

I HAD to share it with you.

Because I HAD to come and tell you THANK YOU.

THANK YOU for helping be one of the reliable sources of water for hundreds of kiddos, moms, dads, and grandparents today.

THANK YOU for being part of the practical solution for thirsty families on a very hot South African summer day.

Right now families are drinking water and cooking dinner because you gave time and money in between your own dinner prep and kids and homework to support this community.

For real you guys – that’s amazing to me.

I can’t stop staring at this photo and thinking about what you all helped make possible.

Just thank you!

And a special thank you to the 136 of you who have joined the TenDollarTribe with us and pledged $10/month to this community. It’s days like today you realize how precious and dear and amazing that gift is. THANK YOU! And if you want to join us — come on over and click right here.
